Shieldhill Primary pupils share virtual Christmas message to replace traditional festive event

With many of the usual festive celebrations cancelled due to coronavirus, including the school’s nativity, Shieldhill Primary’s P5 pupils decided to record the footage to raise spirits.
The children sang Jingle Bells after learning of the planned Worldwide Santas Christmas Eve Jingle.

Hide AdIn the clip, pupils also thank the NHS for its efforts throughout the pandemic.
The stars of the video treated teaching staff and their fellow pupils to renditions of the song during rehearsals prior to filming their efforts.
Hazel Cunningham, California and Shieldhill Primaries (acting) headteacher, said: “The boys and girls have worked hard to learn musical notation, rhythm and play together.
“They have been sharing their festive message by playing outdoors in the playground and outside the classrooms of our school where they have been greeted with lots of happy smiling faces.”
