IT WILL be fun and games at Preston Playgroup with the news it has been awarded £2000 in cash.

The group it delighted to have been given a £995 grant from the Voluntary Action Fund, and £1000 from the Scottish Community Foundation (received from Comic Relief funding including Red Nose Day and Sport Relief) to buy new play equipment.

Jenny Cameron, playgroup vice chairperson, said: “Everyone at the playgroup is absolutely over the moon to receive these awards. The money will allow us to replenish and refurbish our resources following our move from the Rivaldsgreen Centre. The new equipment will not only allow us to provide a stimulating environment for the children, but also one which also meets the requirements of our regulators, Scottish Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS).

“We look forward to seeing the children’s happy faces when the new play equipment arrives!”
