wally has been very much in demand over the past month in Linlithgow as children searched high and low for the bespectacled stripey character.
The ‘Find Wally’ competition run by Linlithgow’s‘Far From the Madding Crowd bookshop had youngsters trying to spot Wally in shops around the town picking up cards along the way when they found him.
The more cards, the better the prizes and the successful contest had over 80 entries. There were five main prize winners and seven runners-up, some pictured with Wally and bookshop owner Jill Pattle this week.
Jill expressed a huge thank you to the other shops who participated including Nifty Needles, The Soft Spot, Walker Carpets, Wilson’s Newsagents, The Linlithgow Pet Shop, Oliphant’s Bakery, Norman Cummings, The Health Food Shop and Oyster, Oyster.
The competition was part of a national celebration of Wally who turns 25 this year. All those who entered are also invited back to Far From The Madding Crowd for a special Wally Lucky Dip.
