mous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut music venue in Glasgow is to play host to Broxburn-based band Sonic Thrill on March 22.
They will be appearing in support of the Irish band The Minutes on the Glasgow date of their UK tour.
The band, whose music is heavily influenced by 1980s groups such as Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue, have recently played at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus and toured Scotland last year in support of their debut EP “This.Is.Just.The.Beginning”.
Fronted by lead singer Hannah Jones, the band was formed in February 2011 by guitarist Matt Le Core and drummer Nic Ross, with the ensemble being rounded out by Kieran Lewis on bass and keyboard player Jordan Hope.
Speaking before the gig the band said: “We are all really excited to play the venue as it’s known for it’s atmosphere and being a proving ground for bands, so that’s what we’re planning to do.”
Doors open at 8pm for the over-18 gig. Tickets can be purchased in advance for £6 or £7 on the night. For more information visit www.sonicthrill.com
