THE Journal and Gazette is offering readers the chance to dine in Edinburgh at the restaurant of one of Scotland’s top young chefs.
Talented chef Michael Neave is offering a three course lunch for two at his restaurant, Michael Neave Kitchen and Whisky Bar, which is situated at 21 Old Fishmarket Close.
Situated in the heart of the capital, the restaurant is set over two floors where diners can relax and indulge in a cocktail in the contemporary bar upstairs before or after their meal.
Being fortunate to work with and be trained by passionate and talented chefs in Scotland — it has encouraged Michael to explore the best of Scotland’s larder.
And this can be seen throughout his menu with dishes such as Smokie salmon mousse or West Coast scallops, Partridge and Roe Deer casserole or Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak with curly kale, to sumptious desserts such as Pear Tarte Tatin with whisky marmalade ice cream.
The Whisky Bar also features a wide selection of malts as well as interesting gins, estate rums, wines and champagnes and beers.
Chef Michael says of his new venture: “I want my restaurant to be a happy and all encompassing experience. Cooking is a journey, I hope you will join me for that journey.”
