TIME is running out if you want to become the Falkirk Herald’s Voice of 2012!
The opportunity to record your very own three-track CD is up for grabs for the winner of the fantastic singing competition, organised by our sister paper.
The champion will also win £250 cash, courtesy of our sponsors McDonald’s.
Runners up will win £100 and £50 respectively and will also record a two-track and one- track CD with Chris Judge from our other sponsor VoiceJam.
In a few weeks’ time voting will open and you will be able to vote for your choice via a coupon in the paper.
The 10 acts with the most votes will be invited to perform in front of a panel of judges at our grand final which will take place at City Nightclub on Sunday, May 20. Entries can be made online via our website at www.voicecompetition.co.uk where you can also listen to the other entries.
You can enter also by post – send a CD of you singing to a backing track, along with a recent photograph and details of yourself (date of birth, address, contact telephone number, e-mail and musical interests and influences), to: The Voice Competition, The Falkirk Herald, Unit 4A, Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth FK3 8WX. Alternatively you can e-mail an mp3 of your track, along with photograph and details as above to firstname.lastname@example.org
We can only accept tracks in mp3 format. It doesn’t have to be a professional recording – they can even be made on a mobile phone. Entries from groups are allowed but will be judged on voices not music. Once entries have been uploaded to our website, it will not be possible to withdraw from the competition. The competition is open to all ages.
