fundraising has already started to keep Linlithgow blooming beautifully next year.

Spurred on by recent success in the Britain in Bloom awards, Burgh Beautiful Linlithgow is looking for sponsorship for next year’s floral displays and will sell raffle tickets, holly balls and wreaths at the Advent Fair on Saturday, November 24.

There will also be a silent auction of a framed print of the Jolomo painting ‘Winter falls on Linlithgow Palace’ at the Burgh Beautiful stall.

Ron Smith, chairman of Burgh Beautiful, said: “We are in the process of securing hanging basket and planter sponsors for our winter and summer planting – these are marked by a small plaque giving details of the business, group or individual(s) who have contributed, and perhaps details of what they or others have achieved.

“Anyone interested should contact me at burgh-beautiful@lct.org.uk”

As usual, everyone is invited to help with the making of holly balls and wreaths to raise funds. The main event will be on Saturday, November 17, from 9.30am at Burgh Beautiful’s workbase at Clarendon on Manse Road, and another session will take place on Saturday, December 1, to make additional orders from the
Advent Fair, where refreshments will be provided.

Burgh Beautiful’s winter/spring hanging baskets are
already in place, and members have completed the planting of their seasonal floral displays.
