A homeless charity has received a welcome boost thanks to the kindness of a Falkirk man and a Grangemouth energy firm.

The Salvation Army in Falkirk was given help in its quest to feed up to 50 people each day by Keith Wilson and Oilfast, who made a joint £200 contribution to the organisation.

After winning Oilfast’s Christmas prize draw for £100 worth of butchery vouchers from Hugh Black and Sons in Bathgate, Keith opted to instead pass the gift on to those in need. Graeme Edment, Oilfast marketing executive, said: ”Keith advised us he wanted to donate the vouchers on his behalf with a desire for it to go to a homeless charity. As we think that Keith’s donation is selfless and an amazing act of kindness, we have pledged to double the donation to £200 to help the Salvation Army.”
