Anna Penman has bagged a £1000 cheque from generous staff at the
Linlithgow SPAR.

Anna and mum Ann Marie collected the donation from store staff for The Turbo Trust.

The charity was set up to raise funds for a Snapdragon wheelchair for Anna, who has leukaemia and spinal muscular atrophy and requires constant care.

The new chair means Anna can sit and play and ‘run’ outdoors with her friends and big brother Nathan.

The SPAR donation was raised through the sale of single-use carrier bags.

Director Jamie Buchannan said: “We’d like to thank our customers for making this possible.

‘‘Not only do many deserving charities across Scotland benefit from the monies raised, we also believe it encourages our customers to re-use carrier bags which helps protect the environment.”
