One of the organisers Eric Brown said: “It was a vibrant, happy and fun performance - skillful and full of movement. It was superb.”

Provost Tom Kerr and Deacon’s Court Provost Jack Adair were part of the audience, along with Consul General Tarahara of
Japan and Mrs Tarahara, listening to mixed groups from schools and universities across Japan.

Eric added: “All the players were delighted with the acoustics in the church and loved the building.”

Funds will be donated to St Michael’s Church and a local charity of their choosing. The handbell ringers concert was organised by the Scottish Handbell ringers, and the Handbell Ringers of
Japan, along with the minister and Kirk Session of St Michael’s Parish Church, Stephen Blake and Peter Drylie of St Michael’s and Joyce and Eric Brown.
