CLUB Earth has been the host of many huge parties over the years in Livingston and their new venture into the indie scene is also proving to be a hit at Scotland’s first-ever purpose built nightclub.
‘‘My Generation’’, a live band event on the first Friday of every month, showcases the best talent Livingston and surrounding areas have to offer on the live band circuit including bigger headliners from further afield.
Now in its third month, ‘‘My Generation’’ is upping its game with a whole new spectrum of bands like Dead Sea Souls, The Begbies and Cairo already stepping up to the big venue.
Friday, February 3, sees Glaswegians Strawberry Ocean Sea, tipped by some observers to be “the next big Scottish band to come through”, rocking into Livingston.
With credentials such as touring with the likes of Glasvegas and Mona and performing at Rock Ness in 2011, they are definitely a band to keep your eyes on.
They will be supported by Japan Four, a local band which also performed at Rock Ness last year, The Barrels, and an acoustic set from Euan Butler. The line-up is sure to attract attention with a pay at the door admission price of £3 and drinks from only £2 it is a real value for money show.
Doors open at 8.30pm with the last band finishing around midnight before an indie DJ set closes the entertainment.
‘‘ This is one not to be missed!” said a spokesman for Club Earth.
