sound maestro David Stevenson has crossed the Linlithgow-Bo’ness divide to divvy out proceeds from local fundraisers on both sides of the flints.
Standing on neutral territory, Steedsy handed over £2200 raised from a recent Fair fundraiser at Bo’ness Town Hall to Bo’ness Fair chairman Jim Stewart.
Steedsy said: “I do all the sound at the Bo’ness Fair, so it was a bit like giving something back.
“Thanks on that night must also go to Keith Aitken’s “Frank and the Twins” band and DJ Jimmy Young, who gave their services free too. “
At the post Marches and hugely successful Drifters night in the marquee, technical services were also supplied by Steedsy and the same amount - £2200 - was handed over to Provost Tom Kerr, the new chairman of the Linlithgow Marches Marquee team.
Steedsy said: “It’s great to be able to support two local organisations close to my heart but the big thing to remember is, these are all run by volunteers who give up massive amounts of time and energy to run these things - and they too should be thanked for their efforts.”
