THE new bridge connecting the back of the Low Port Centre to the Peel at Linlithgow was put in place this week.
The bridge which cost just over £70,000 replaces the former narrower bridge on the site, and will allow for heavier vehicles to gain access to the Peel, including infrastructure required to stage major outdoor events. It is hoped this will mean a wider range of activities can be planned for the Peel in the future.
Other work on the project has included building up the masonry walls, laying surfacing on the approach paths/roads, and installing new gates.
The Peel Bridge was funded from town centre regeneration budgets.
