Have your say

WHAT and when was the occasion picture, one wonders?

Why did the women and children line up for the photographer? We’ll probably never know now.

In fact all that we do know is that the picture was taken in Bo’ness but we don’t know by whom or even when although it looks like the 1930s or 40s by the clothing - and one little boy looks quite smug about having his own, pretty new looking, pedal car to get around in! The picture is captioned ‘‘Gillburn, Snab, Bo’ness’’.

If you recognise anyone in the picture - or indeed, you ARE in the picture, why not let us know!

The Journal and Gazette is always keen to receive old pictures for possible reproduction on this page.

If you have something that you think might be of interest to our readers; hand it into our office at 114 High Street, Linlithgow, or email it to editorial@journalandgazette.co.uk or hand it to our Bo’ness reporter in Bo’ness library between 2-3pm on Fridays and Mondays.
