THE Water Yett will soon be blooming with wild flowers after Beavers had a busy planting session last Friday.

Beaver Scouts from Linlithgow with their leader Kathy Lindsay joined local green- fingered resident Eileen Murray as they raked and seeded a patch close to the loch edge. The event was a joint project between the 4th West Lothian Scouts, an early contribution to Scout Community Week on May 14-20, and Burgh Beautiful, as part of the launch of their Britain in Bloom 2012 campaign.

Beavers involved were Adam Green, Sam Green, Max Jacewicz, Donata Jacevicz and Aiden Wilson, and they were joined by Cub Scout Liam Green. They admired the work Eileen has done on her garden installations along with councillors Martyn Day and Tom Kerr. The pictures were taken by parent Lisa Green and Anthony Oxbrow.
