SANTA left his reindeer at the North Pole when he visited Linlithgow’s canal basin last weekend to the delight of local tiny tots.

Father Christmas will be at the Manse Road Basin again tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday at 2pm, only a week before he makes his round-the-world trip. For £5 children receive a present and a boat trip, weather permitting. The tea room will also be open for tea, coffee, spiced punch, mince pies and shortbread. Santa’s grotto will open from 2-4pm at the basin tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday for children to enjoy, and no bookings are required. For last minute bookings on the three hour Christmas lunch cruise on board the St Magdalene on Sunday from 1pm, go to www.lucs.org.uk for details on reserving your place.
