PHOTOS displaying life in Kenya received a huge amount of interest at the Burgh Halls last weekend.
The handiwork of photography student Connor Small (right with his work) was given pride of place at the exhibition to raise awareness of the education and support centre for youngsters, Badilisha Maisha, in Kilifi, Mombasa, which means ‘change a life’.
Irene Wynne, secretary of the Badilisha Maisha charity, said: “It was an exceptional event. Provost Tom Kerr opened the exhibition and from 10am onwards there was a real buzz and it was very busy indeed.
“It was the ideal venue. Connor was delighted with the response to his work and the orders he got for prints
‘‘The charity got a big boost too with donations totalling over £600.”
Money raised will go towards the centre which provides education, meals and urgent medical care from volunteers.
