BUDDING artist Rhona MacRae (11) has designed this year’s Christmas card for St Michael’s Parish Church in Linlithgow.

Rhona, a P7 pupil at Low Port Primary, entered a competition at a recent coffee morning held by Junior Church at St Michael’s and hers was the winning design. The card has now been printed and nearly 4000 copies will be distributed throughout St Michael’s parish area in the run-up to Christmas.

The card, which gives details of services in the church over the Christmas period, normally features a drawing or photograph of the church, but organisers felt this year it was time for a change. Rhona’s winning design features a drawing of St Michael’s bell tower with the crown of thorns on top, and an angel hovering over the church.

Rhona, who lives with her parents Alan and Mary, and older sister Kirsty in Friars Brae, was delighted to be the winner, and has already been recognised at school for her creative ability.

The Christmas cards can be picked up from the church office.
