A COMMUNITY fund is being looked at as part of controversial plans to develop the Burghmuir site on Blackness Road in Linlithgow.
The 12 week consultation period for the reported plans from Wallace Land finishes at the end of 2011, and it is thought a planning application will be lodged with West Lothian Council at the end of January. This week, a spokesperson for Wallace Land said: “We are currently assessing all the feedback from the consultation event on November 30 and December 1, and as part of that we will be reviewing how the town centre benefit fund could be taken forward. “We are committed to making a fund available as part of the overall package of benefits which the development could bring and will be in a better position to announce the actual sum relating to this in the near future.”
