LOCAL charities in the Journal and Gazette area could win a share of £100,000 if they act fast!
Now in its second year, the ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign, as part of a community initiative by Kumho Tyres, will see hundreds of UK grass roots charities win a share of the cash to help support local fundraising initiatives.
Charities and community groups need to register to be part of the ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign at www.kumhocauses.com/2013/causes before Sunday, March 31.
Kumho’s nationwide ECSTA Performance Centre (EPC) retail partners will then shortlist two causes from their local area to be put forward to a nationwide public vote which will run online and in-store at Kumho Tyres’ participating EPC retailers nationwide. The cause with the most votes at the end of the campaign will receive £5,000, with all shortlisted charities benefiting from a share of the cash donation.
John Thrupp, Kumho Tyres’ marketing director, said: “Following the amazing success of the 2012 Cash for Causes campaign, we are delighted to be able to give back to grass roots causes for the second year running.
“Supporting local communities is a vital part of Kumho’s Korean heritage. As a business which serves people all across the UK it seemed fitting that we help our EPC partners support the very deserving causes in our local areas.
“We are calling on all local deserving charities to nominate themselves and highlight the amazing work that they do in the community to be in with a chance to win part of our £100,000 donation. I’m really looking forward to seeing how Kumho’s contributions make a real difference.”
The Cash for Causes campaign was launched by Kumho Tyres in 2012 to help give something back to local communities nationwide. The 2013 campaign is aiming to support even more local causes with a guaranteed cash donation.
