ADULTS can get back into learning with a programme of events from West Lothian Council and West Lothian College.
The initiative has been arranged as part of the 20th Adult Learner’s Week - Learn for Life scheme aiming to motivate adults of all ages and backgrounds to take up new interests.
Each May the programme seeks to inspire thousands of adults to find out how learning can transform lives. During Adult Learners Week 2010, an estimated 100,000 adults engaged in over 4,000 learning events.
In a survey of participants, 57 per cent of the people who took part in activity enrolled on, or applied for, a course as a result of getting involved. The council is running open events to showcase the learning opportunities in West Lothian. Events are open to all adults and are free.
