Images by a leading light in fashion photography are the centrepiece of this summer’s exhbition at the Park Gallery in Falkirk.
Entitled ‘‘Fantasia’’, the exhibition of images taken by Fabrizio Gianni is sure to be a talking point when it opens at the Callendar Estate venue on May 1.
Falkirk Community Trust is thrilled to have been able to put together this exhibition of Gianni’s work.
A spokeswoman for the trust said: ‘‘Fabrizio Gianni is a genuine photography legend.
‘‘This exhibition will focus on his work for fashion magazines such as Elle, Vogue, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar and Le Figaro to name a few.
‘‘He’s photographed celebrities galore from Charlize Theron to Andy McDowell to Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves and more.
‘‘He styled Clint Eastwood in ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ and a spaghetti western film he wrote and starred in - which he dismisses as awful - is a favourite of Quentin Tarantino.’’
Fabrizio Gianni (76) lives in Falkirk with his advocate wife, a former fashion model.
Scotish photographer David Eustace said: ‘‘Gianni’s photographs are timeless classics, they capture a sense of yesterday yet are equally so very modern.
‘‘He is one of the old school - a fashion photographer whose love of photography is beyond fashions. He creates images that remind us of family snapshots we wish we all owned.’’
The exhibition runs until August 30.
