'Avalanche' stuns Bo'ness shoppers

AN 'avalanche' of snowfall from a Bo'ness town centre roof brought cast iron guttering plunging to the ground on a busy shopping afternoon.

No one was hurt in the freak weather-related incident in Hope Street last Saturday afternoon, the day of the reindeer visit.

But the road was closed off as police and council workers worked to make the tenement roof and remaining guttering safe.
