Pub quiz fans organised a special night at the Ferry Tap in South Queensferry recently.
The occasion was to mark the pub’s quizmaster Colin Cruikshank, who has completed an amazing 25 years of arranging and running testing weekly quizzes in the town.
Pub regulars calculated that during the 25-year period Colin, no mean quizzer himself, having represented Scotland, and also captained a winning team on the popular BBC programme “Eggheads”, has compiled and presented over 2500 quizzes at the popular High Street hostelry.
The 2500 quizzes equate to more than 60,000 individually selected questions.
To mark the occasion, Colin was presented with a special bottle of “Cruikshank” whisky and a framed certificate from the Fraternal Association of Quizmasters, bestowing upon him its highest honour.
Our photograph shows Colin (right) receiving the certificate from veteran local quizzer Peter FitzGerald.
