journal and Gazette Bonniest Baby 2012 title holder Erin Adamson came face-to-face with her winning portrait on Monday, as the specially-mounted canvas was delivered to her Lothian Street home in Bo’ness.
Erin, now aged 18 months, was enchanted by the familiar, smiling image - snapped by competition partners Tiny Tots Photography of Motherwell.
Mum Ashley Meikle (23) said: “It’s really nice, I’m really impressed with it.
“Erin just kept pointing to it and picking it up, walking about the living room with it and looking at it.
“It will be going on the wall in the living room.”
Dad James Adamson, a trailer mechanic who lives nearby, also gave the thumbs up to Erin’s special prize, which is worth over £100.
“It has sunk in now,” said Ashley of the independent judging panel’s announcement, just prior to Christmas, that Erin was top tot in the popular contest.
Voting support from the extended family and friends had earlier seen the happy youngster make the top 10 shortlist.
“The whole family is really chuffed. Thanks to everybody that voted for her,” said her delighted mum this week.
Journal and Gazette acting editor Allan Scott said: “I am delighted that Ashley and Erin are impressed with their prize and am looking forward to promoting another successful Bonny Baby contest later this year.”
Aiden Darrien and Lucy Rutherford were joint second.
