Local amateur dramatic group The Barony Players are expecting to be extremely busy in the run up to Christmas.
The Players will stage their winter production of A Christmas Carol at the Barony Theatre from Monday, December 1 to Saturday, December 6, at 7.30pm.
It is an adaptation of Dickens’s famous novel by John Mortimer, creator of Rumpole of the Bailey.
It takes the audience on a whistle-stop tour as it tells the story of bitter old miser Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation after visits by Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases past, present and future.
There have been many versions of this classic tale and the Barony Players look forward to presenting their interpretation this winter.
With a short run of only six evenings, the production is expected to be another sell-out performance for the Players.
So it is recommended that readers book their tickets early to be guaranteed a seat.
