Bathgate orchestra’s noteable concert

MUSIC lovers have been urged to attend a celebration concert in the Burgh Halls, Linlithgow.

Bathgate Concert Orchestra is tuning up for a special concert to mark its 60th birthday. The event goes ahead tomorrow (Saturday), May 19.

The audience will be encouraged to sit back, relax and enjoy listening to some well known pieces including music related to the Queen’s Jubilee, together with the world premiere of a new piece specially written for the occasion.

Special guests of the orchestra will be Linlithgow Rugby Club Choir which will be performing along with the orchestra including music such as ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ and ‘Highland Cathedral’ as well as a selection from their own repertoire.

Tickets can be purchased from the Burgh Halls Box Office (tel. 01506 272820) or pay at the door on the night.

The tickets are priced £6, (£4 concessions) and £2 (under 16’s).
