war medals found by a council bin lorry driver in Bo’ness about 25 years ago could be re-united with the soldiers’ family.
Robert Madden (69), now retired to France, discovered the three medals put out with the rubbish in Philpingstone Road or Lane.
They went in a drawer and were forgotten about.
Anyone who might be connected to the medals can contact Robert’s cousin, John Snedden, on 01506 510176.
The soldiers’ details are: 7267 Gunner A McBlain, Royal Artillery, 1914/1918; 16565 Private G McBlain, Scots Guards, 1914/1919; B/1774 Private J. McP. McBlain, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, 1914/1915.
