A garden full of treasured gnomes, and other ornaments, has been plundered by heartless thieves, leaving their owner “hurt and devastated”.

The theft is believed to be by pranksters who carried out a stealth operation at a house in Bailielands, Linlithgow, in the early hours of Sunday, July 14.

Kate Peddie (64) has appealed to those responsible to return the ornaments and for anyone who has noticed new garden decorations turning up in their garden to contact the police who are aware of the theft.

Kate told the Journal and Gazette of the distress the incident has caused, not only to herself but to local kids who admire the garden, which they have dubbed “Gnomeland”.
