Gold standard for sausages

Campbells Prime Meat in Linlithgow has won gold in a prestigious sausage contest with its Black Haggis banger.

The successful company has picked up the top prize in the BPEX Foodservice Pork Sausage of the Year competition which runs alongside British Sausage Week (November 4-10), recognising the best sausages served in pubs, restaurants and hotels across the country.

The judges evaluated 230 entries across five categories, including traditional pork sausage, speciality pork sausage, best export sausage, best innovative pork sausage and best healthy eating 
sausage.
