Linlithgow MSP Fiona Hyslop met senior management in Mitsubishi Electric while on a visit to Japan in her role as Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for External Affairs.
This followed on from a visit she made to Mitsubishi Electric’s Livingston plan which employs over 900 people in January.
Fiona said: “Mitsubishi Electric is a major employer here in West Lothian and it is important that major investors know that their contribution to our economy is important and valued and that the Scottish Government will work with them to help develop their business.
“The Livingston plant is a world class factory with skilled and committed workers. I had the opportunity to visit the factory in January before my Government visit to Japan and was able to express to the Tokyo management how impressed I was with the local management and workforce here in West Lothian.”
