PROLIFIC Scottish artist Alasdair Gray will have his work displayed at Linlithgow Burgh Halls next month.

The artist’s painting ‘Bella Caledonia’ is currently adorning First Minister Alex Salmond’s official Christmas card, and as in previous years, the original will be auctioned to raise thousands of pounds for Scottish charities.

The benefitting charities are the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland, the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund, the Glenachulish Preservation Trust, and the Small Tribes Trust.

The artist’s exhibition ‘Proper Gray Matters’ will bring together a range of the artist’s works and opens to the public in the Gallery of Linlithgow Burgh Halls on January 13, running until March 18, 2012. Admission is free.
