The charities of the three armed forces are calling upon Scotland’s schools to sign up to ‘Red, White and Blue Day 2013’, a campaign to raise awareness about the difficulties faced by service children and families.

Scheduled for Friday, October 11, RWB13 is an opportunity for schoolchildren to donate £1 each in order to wear the British colours of red, white and blue, and for schools to run activities to further
pupils’ understanding of what it means to be the child of a serving member of the British Armed Forces.

The aim is to help raise £60,000 for The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and The RAF Benevolent Fund.
