THE Bo’ness Hippodrome is rolling out the red carpet for its premiere of glitzy new film The Great Gatsby (12A) next Friday, May 24.
And the Journal and Gazette has three pairs of tickets for this fabulous launch event!
Jazz music will be playing, admire a 1920s vintage car, and the Flapper Cafe and Speakeasy Bar will be serving themed delights.
The fantastically restored art deco cinema is the perfect setting to enjoy Baz Luhrmann’s film (start time 8pm).
It is 1922, and in an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings and sky-rocketing stocks, midwesterner Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) is lured into the lavish world of his New York neighbour, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), the beautiful and unattainable Daisy (Carey Mulligan) and her philandering, blue-blooded husband Tom.
Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliet director Luhrmann’s take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic boasts Prada costumes and Lady Gaga music.
For a chance of winning a pair of tickets, don’t miss your Journal and Gazette, out today, Friday, May 17!
Be quick, as the entry deadline is noon next Wednesday, May 22.
Tickets can be pre-ordered on 01324 506850 (£5.85/£4.55). The Bo’ness Hippodrome has several screenings of The Great Gatsby from May 24-30.
