THE World Day of Prayer this year is on Friday, March 4 with services at St Michael’s Hospital and St John’s Church.
Every year, people in over 180 countries come together to sing, think and pray around a common theme. Services will be held in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, universities, shopping centres and prisons.
After the horrendous earthquake that occurred off the coast of Chile last year on February 27, the Christian women of Chile have been asked to write the service for the day.
In Linlithgow there will be two services - the first one at 2.30pm in St Michael’s Hospital, where many will gather to sing and pray.
The second service is at 7.30pm, in St John’s Church, Union Road - where all the churches in the town will be taking part.
