Skills development, academic progress, plus sporting, drama, music, art, enterprise and citizenship achievements were all praised by head teacher David Mitchell.

‘Building ambition’, the school’s key aim, was the theme of his report. He said: “We recognise the work of groups, and of individuals, of the gifted and of those who have overcome adversity.”

He commended the pupils’ ‘skills, talents, energy and enthusiasm’, plus ‘creativity, enterprise, passion and caring’, and thanked staff, parents and carers, plus all the school’s supporters.

Guest speaker was Ma Ping, the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s schools Chinese director. Bo’ness Academy hosts the Confucius classroom for Falkirk Council.
