A man is facing punishment after brandishing a wooden pole at police.

James McCrindle (47), 157 Merchiston Avenue, Bainsford, armed himself with the weapon at his home on November 7 and behaved in a threatening manner likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm.

McCrindle failed to show in court last Thursday.

A warrant has been granted for his arrest.
