Bo’ness man arrested in serious sexual assault case

Police Scotland can confirm that a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in the Bo’ness area.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, June 27.

Nicholas McKenzie, (29) of no fixed abode appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday (Tuesday, June 30).

The accused was charged on two counts of assault under section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded into custody pending further examination.

Officers are still continuing their enquiries into the incident.
