Jay Warren (26) failed to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday because he claimed to have a high temperature and dry cough and was “self isolating”.

Warren, 7 Brewsland Avenue, Bo’ness, previously pled guilty to behaving in a threatening manner towards his partner at an address in Kersiebank Avenue, Grangemouth on May 5 last year.

The court heard he had supposedly produced a high temperature reading at work.

Sheriff Derek Hamilton continued the case until October 30 and stated Warren should started paying his £500 compensation order.
