Finley Collins (23) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having pleaded guilty to resisting and struggling violently with police officers at his 11 Anderson Gardens, Maddiston home on December 18, 2020.

Simon Hutchison, defence solicitor, said Collin’s view of the offence “showed his naivety”.

He added: “He accepts he struggled with police but doesn’t accept he resisted arrest. He has found himself new hobbies and is filling his day with them.”

Sheriff Christopher Shead deferred sentence until January 19, 2023 for Collins to be of good behaviour.
