linlithgow vandals

smashed up car

Local police are appealing for witnesses after a car was vandalised in Linlithgow on Wednesday. At around 5am, a Suzuki Alto parked outside an address in Preston Road had its window smashed with a brick, and an attempt was made to set the car’s fuel tank alight.

Police want to trace two youths seen in the area at the time. Both are described as male, white and around 15-years-old. One was wearing a dark hooded top and jeans.

Sergeant John Jackson said: “Not only was this a random act of vandalism, but it had the possibility of causing serious risk to the public had the fuel tank caught fire.” Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
