Police probe possible ‘hat trick’ of burglaries

Police in are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Linlithgow – and another in Bathgate.

The break-ins all happened on Thursday, some time before 9.30pm at night, and police are trying to find if all three crimes are linked.

The Linlithgow homes looted were in Sheriff Park and Preston Park, while the Bathgate burglary was at a home in Meadowpark,

Detective Constable Greig Muir from Livingston CID said: “All of the homeowners are deeply upset at these housebreakings and we are pursuing various lines of inquiry to trace the culprits.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the addresses in Linlithgow and Bathgate should contact police immediately.

“In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to these inquiries is also urged to get in touch.”
