THe exterior of Dalmeny Nursery School is looking colourful thanks to the work of two local artists.
Alex Knubley and Chloe Gardner, parents of children at the nursery, were invited to paint a mural after staff looked at ways to brighten up the building.
Children at the facility were asked what they would like to see on the wall and as expected their imaginations ran riot with rockets, sheep, rainbows, planes, flowers and stars all being chosen.
Alex, who is a respected artist and garden designer, and Chloe, who recently featured on the BBC2 Landward programme for her bright and colourful art, set about the task of modifying the design to fit the long wall.
Planning permission had to be sought and once approved, and the paints bought, it was all stations go.
The artists spent three full days painting the mural with help from nursery teachers Sarah Murray and Julie Hoskin and fellow mum Taiba Green.
Since carrying out the work, the two artists are now looking to undertake further mural commissions.
