LOCALS that want to get creative in time for the Riding of the Linlithgow Marches can try their hand at decorating vehicles and designing floats.
Trophies and cash prizes are up for grabs on the biggest day in the town’s calendar - June 19 - and both organisations and individuals can enter.
Kids, under 18, can get involved by decorating their bikes and dressing up in the hope of winning the Paw Broon Cup, sponsored by the Linlithgow and Bo’ness Rotary Club, with generous book tokens to be won, and youth groups can put their heads together to vie for the Deacons Shield.
For more details on the prizes to be won, see the entry forms, which are available from clerk to the court, Ross McIntosh at 19 Royal Terrace, Linlithgow, EH49 6HQ and the Journal and Gazette office at 114 High Street.
The trophies are The Round Table Cup, Newbigging Cup, Rose Bowl, The Lithca Lore Trophy, Paw Broon Cup, Deacons Shield, Gazette Trophy, Eric Sneddon Memorial Trophy, and the Waugh Memorial Trophy, with prizes of £50, £30 and £20 for the various sections.
