POLICE want to find a man who helped them arrest a youth who allegedly pushed a jogger into the canal last week.
The incident happened around 5pm last Friday (March 9) in Linlithgow, on the Union Canal towpath between Woodcockdale Bridge and where the canal runs beneath Preston Road.
The 50-year-old jogger was allegedly pushed into the canal by a 17-year-old male who was arrested by local officers shortly thereafter. He was due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court today (Monday).
The victim did not suffer any serious injury, and officers are appealing for the man who helped them arrest the youth to contact them on (0131) 311 3131. Anyone else who witnessed the incident should also get in touch.
