An aspiring star of the stage is counting the days until he can begin training for his dream career as he landed a place at a top performing school.

Bo’ness teenager Jordan McCue will enrol on a full-time HND musical theatre course at the MGA Academy of Performing Arts in Edinburgh this summer after impressing staff during an intensive audition.

The 17-year-old former Bo’ness Academy student said: “I was so excited when I received my acceptance letter. My family are so happy for me.

“It was only my second audition for a college and as it progressed, I felt more and more comfortable.”

Jordan, who has competed in dance contests across Britain as a member of Broadway School of Performing Arts in Falkirk, has his sights firmly set on a stage career.

Andrew Gowland, managing director of The MGA Academy, said: “Jordan is already very talented and impressed all the staff during his audition, but we are confident the training he receives here will ensure that he improves as a performer and help him achieve his dream of being on stage.”
