DUCKS are up for grabs for the 8th Linlithgow Duck Race at the Lochmill Burn on Monday, June 10, at 7pm.
The popular event organised by the Rotary Club of Linlithgow and Bo’ness, has raised over £23,500 for local causes. The Deacon’s Court, the Children’s Gala Day, and the Reed Band are just a few of the groups to have benefitted over the years.
Organisers are indebted to local businesses for the prizes, including a full car service from Hunters of Linlithgow, a bouquet from Flowers by Carolyn, a meal voucher at The Park Bistro, a bucket of booze from Platform 3, and a Multi-Tool by Linlithgow DIY. Ducks are £2 and available at Robert Callander, Far From The Madding Crowd, Jack Bobin office, Flowers by Carolyn, Platform 3, and other outlets.
There is also the Commercial Race, where you can win an advertising board at both Prestonfield and Mains Park for the coming season, an invitation to ride the Marches, and join the official party at the Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge Children’s Gala Day. Ducks cost £25 from Platform 3.
