BO’NESS vet student Natalie Mackay, who starred in ITV’s Safari Vet School, and her friend Kristen Burdett, staged a sell-out Halloween party for over 100 people at the Richmond Park Hotel last Saturday, raising £700 for Team Rhino.
The charity was set up by Natalie’s cast mates to stop rhino poaching. Events management graduate Kristen (22) works at Edinburgh University, where Natalie (21) studies.
The pair, who attended Bo’ness Academy, were delighted at the response to their fancy dress fundraiser and thanked everyone.
“It meant so much to us,” said Kristen. “For people to come and for the local businesses to support us was very rewarding.”
Backers included Caledonian Produce, Bo’ness Recreation Centre, Paper Ribbons, The Richmond Park Hotel, Hard Rock Cafe, The Park Bistro, Happy Feet, Suzanne Davidson and Pets at Home.
