Equality forum seeks your views

The Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) has launched a forum to gain local views on discrimination and hate crime issues.

The Falkirk-based equality and human rights charity says the aim is to promote an open dialogue with people who live, work and/or study in Falkirk and surrounding areas.

CSREC’s recently-appointed equality engagement officer, Daniel Jones, said: “The forum (which has alreadu held its first meeting) will give people living, working and studying in Falkirk a platform to talk to us about their thoughts on what else needs to be done to make Falkirk a more inclusive and accessible place.

“It is also an opportunity to build networks and to learn from one another.

We want to put people at the heart of this forum, and that includes listening to everyone’s thoughts and opinions, and designing the forum so that it meets the needs of those attending.

“We look forward to hearing what you have to say.”
