A CLEAN bill of health has been given to Falkirk Council’s food enforcement team by government inspectors.
For a change their own work, of inspecting the district’s 1344 food premises, was put under the microscope.
Auditors from the Food Standards Agency rated the unit among Scotland’s top two authorities, with no recommendations for improvements and a number of good practice areas highlighted.
The team of 12 carry out regular, detailed food hygiene inspections to ensure compliance with strict food safety laws.
Councillor Charles MacDonald, said: “Consumers can be reassured that we are maintaining high standards across the area in order to protect the public.”
